BHS '72 Class 50-Year Reunion--Aug 26/27, 2022

HERE IT COMES!! 

Our BHS '72 50-Year Reunion will be held over 2 days--Friday, August 26 and Saturday, August 27 in 2022. We will have two official events for all classmates:

** The first event is a casual mingle / get-together on Friday night, August 26, 2022, from 6pm to 11pm at the Spanish-style, two-story Recreation Park clubhouse in Long Beach, CA, at 5001 Deukmejian Drive. There will be hors 'd ouerves and beverages, live music (2 live bands as background music) and lots of warm greetings and fun.

** The second event is a nicer dinner, program, silent auction and dance (with an amazing 5-piece dance band) on Saturday night, August 27, 2022, also from 6pm to 11pm, at The Mayne Events Center in Bellflower, CA, at 16400 Bellflower Blvd., just south of the railroad tracks on Bellflower Blvd. It is a great 2-story banquet and meeting space with an attached Los Angeles County Fire Museum with vintage fire trucks on display. The Mayne Events Center has been the chosen venue of the BHS classes of 1969, 1979 and 1971 for their 50-Year reunions as well. 

We will also have a 3rd optional 9-hole golf event for 25 classmates on Friday afternoon August 26, 2022, starting with some practice swings at 11am, a Noon lunch and tee times set for after the lunch. This is a fun event we first held at our 40-year reunion and is back by popular demand. This event is for those classmates who want to play some golf or those who have always wanted to try golf in the easiest way to ever do so -- a best ball scramble format. You will have a great time whether you golf well or not.

The countdown clock above is now set for August 26, 2022, the start of our 2-day reunion events.

 Some say our 50th will be our last reunion--and it most certainly will be the last of its kind, and it will be epic. The pent up energy we all have to get out and celebrate and reacquaint with each other will be an added excitement for sure. We had/have a most special class and we will have a most special reunion. We hope to see every one of you at our 50-Year Reunion, as you are a huge part of the BHS Class of 1972 and will be warmly welcomed by all in attendance.

Key Reunion Tips and Helpful Info

Hello all you wonderful BHS Class of 1972 classmates:

With our 50-year Reunion events coming up quickly, we wanted to make sure you have some key tips and helpful information for our various scheduled events. Here they are: 

1)To see and get your tickets for the various reunion activities on August 26-27, 2022, please click on the "BHS 50-Year Reunion Tickets" link on the left side of this Bellflower72.com website home page.

2) To check which reunion subcommitte you are on (or would like to voluteer to be on), click on the "BHS 50-Year Reunion Aug 2022" on the left side of this website home page and go to the drop down menu and select the "50-Year Reunion Subcommittees" link.

3) For any classmate that wants to contact another active classmate on tnis website, click on the "Classmate Profiles" link on the left side of this home page, find on the classmate with whom you wish to communicate, and click on the "Send (classmate name) a private message"  and compose your enote and send it to him or her. 

4) On the fundraising sideof our reunion, check out the "Give Back to BHS" link  on the left of this home page for the latest from its chair and classmate Harry Bigelow Cason. Use the process in item #3 above to contact Harry and his committee for any contributions you wish to make to the silent auctions, etc. 

5) To join the free upcoming tour of the Bellflower High School campus (tour date TBD), please send a note to Jim Rusher through the process described in item #3 above.
